The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) has recognized Quezon City’s Ease of Doing Business initiatives.
The city’s Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) and Department of Building Official (DBO) bagged the awards during the Ease of Doing Business Summit recently organized by ARTA.
The city government thanked ARTA director-general Jeremiah Belgica for citing its initiatives to effectively streamline government services, and make them more accessible, convenient, and efficient.
Quezon City also received the “Doing Business Competitiveness Mover” recognition for providing efficient and fast services to business owners, especially for those that are starting their business.
Last October, the city has reported that 95 percent of business permit applications were all submitted online.
The DBO was also given a special citation as the 3rd Big Impact Indicator for their effort in line with the “Dealing with Construction Permits” part in the Doing Business 2020 report.
It has been a constant partner of ARTA in the crafting and enforcement of policies related to dealing with construction permits.
