Pitmaster Foundation, a subsidiary of Lucky 8 Corporation which PAGCOR has granted a license for online cockfighting, said it continues to provide assistance to poor patients despite criticisms from some lawmakers on e-sabong.
“Every day, Pitmaster shoulders the dialysis of an indigent patient across the country. We have partnerships with hospitals and dialysis centers so that these poor patients do not have to pay for the procedure,” said Pitmaster Foundation director Caroline Cruz.
“Aside from dialysis, our foundation also gives free wheelchairs to those in need. In fact, since January, we have distributed at least 1,000 wheelchairs to disabled persons,” she added.
The foundation has also donated ambulances to various local government units, and has distributed thousands of food packs at the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“We are doing all this to give back to the people and show them that we care in their time of need,” she said.
“We do not understand the hate coming our way from certain politicians, when in fact we are helping our kababayan,” Cruz added.
