Tying the knot signifies a couple’s commitment to stay together for the rest of their lives. However, having a wedding ceremony can be a costly affair.
Mass weddings done by local officials helps alleviate this concern, but with the pandemic affecting the Philippines, this was brought to a halt until recently.
With restrictions easing up, couples wanting to take that next step were given the chance to say their vows, as Quezon City District 4 recently held a mass wedding.
Officiating the ceremony were Congressman Bong Suntay, Councilor Hero Bautista, Councilor Marra Suntay, Councilor Irene Belmonte, and Councilor Ivy Lagman.
A total of 210 couples attended the ceremony, which included couples who wanted to renew their wedding vows.
“It’s an honor to become a godfather to 210 couples. This is my first time to be one. Looks like fore this Christmas, I’ll have more people who will receive a gift from me,” Bautista shared.
