Cebu Pacific reopens hiring of cabin crew

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, reopened hiring for cabin crew, in preparation for increased travel demand and tourism recovery.

CEB said that as domestic travel restrictions continued to ease and more destinations opened up, it ramped up its network, which in turn, provided an opportunity for the airline to hire additional cabin crew.

The airline said it reached out and encouraged former CEB cabin crew to apply as the airline prepared for growth and recovery.

“We know the year 2020 has been one of the most challenging years for everyJuan. As we continue being cautiously optimistic and prepare to paint the skies yellow again, we are pleased to reopen the hiring of additional cabin crew,” said Felix Lopez, vice president for people and admin at Cebu Pacific.

Recent developments in the nation’s COVID-19 response paved the way for greater recovery in the travel and aviation sectors. The steadily rising number of fully-vaccinated Filipinos and the encouraging downward trend of new COVID cases have led to the much-anticipated easing of quarantine restrictions across many parts of the country.

“This in turn has brought about an uptick in travel demand and opened opportunities for us to hire additional cabin crew to support CEB’s recovery and growth,” Lopez said.

CEB said it attained 100-percent vaccination rate for its active flying crew through its very own employee vaccination program, JG Summit COVID Protect, and various partnerships with local government units in the country.

CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 33 destinations, on top of its 10 international destinations. It ended the third quarter with a 73-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, which includes two dedicated ATR freighters and one A330 freighter.
