The public requested for a wide-format instax printer, Fujifilm answered.
Fujifilm Philippines on Friday launched the instax Link Wide, its first smartphone printer in wide format, twice the size of the instax Mini launched in 2019.
“Wide-format printer is the most asked product from instax. We listened, and now we have instax Link Wide,” said Geremy So, Fujifilm Philippines marketing leader for Asia Pacific.
A photo printed using the device is as big as two credit cards side by side, ideal for landscape images and bigger “groupfies”.
Using its dedicated smartphone app (available on App Store and Play Store), users can choose between two modes before printing their photos: instax-Rich for deep and immersive colors, or how the image looks like on their phones; and instax-Neutral, which has a more retro look with muted colors.
With QR print mode, they can add a QR code on the photo that carries a voice clip, a hidden message (up to 100 characters), a location pin (ideal for invitations), or a URL link to a website (useful for brands and businesses).
According to So, voice clips and hidden messages embedded in the QR code can be accessed for two years, while URL links and location pins have no expiration so long as they are still available.
There are also templates that can be personalized. The Collage Print feature enables printing of multiple images in one photo, while the Sketch, Edit and Print tool allows users to import sketches and calligraphy or signature to add to the photo. Hundreds of stickers are also available.
Fujifilm says a single battery charge of instax Link Wide will last for around 100 prints. It comes in a sleek, on-the-go design and is available in two colors: Ash White and Mocha Gray.

The printer is available at instax's flagship store on Lazada and Shopee, at wonderphotoshop.ph, and at Fujifilm authorized dealers nationwide for P8,999 per unit with a free pack of film.
