Members of the city’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Sub-Station arrested the suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted late Wednesday night at Block 8, Lot 7, Scoop Street, Fourth Estate in Barangay San Antonio.

Recovered from suspects were 300 grams of shabu worth P2 million, a Mark and Spencer paper bag, two mobile phones, and the money used in the entrapment operation.

The suspects are temporarily detained at the Paranaque City Police Station Custodial Facility pending the filing of criminal charges against them before the city prosecutor’s office.

The confiscated illegal substance was turned over to the Southern Police District – Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

SPD director B/Gen. Jimili Macaraeg commended Paranaque City police commander Col. Maximo Sebastian Jr. and his men for the latest accomplishment.

“SPD is committed to dismantling illegal drug groups whether it will be a whole family. It is a serious threat to our families and community. We will not tolerate these kind of people to destroy the concept of the family as the foundation of good behavior,” said Macaraeg.

Early last month, authorities arrested a big-time drug dealer and seized P34 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation, also in Paranaque City.

The suspect Keneth Vito Cruz, 32, a resident of Sucat, Paranaque City was arrested by a composite team from the National Capital Region Police Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Southern Police District, and Paranaque City Police Station.

Seized from the suspect were five kilograms of shabu, a mobile phone and the money used in the entrapment.

President Rodrigo Duterte renewed his commitment to continue eradicating drug dealing in the country, reiterating to punish those who are involved in the trade.
