Rodelio Mamac Jr., son of local businessman and former police officer Rodelio Sr., will also run for councilor under Team Lazatin.

“Members of Team Lazatin shall be filing their CoCs on Oct. 1 for the coming 2022 elections which will be followed by a press conference at Best Western Hotel at Barangay Balibago,” said IC Calaguas, the party’s chief strategist.

Calaguas said the group will attend a Holy Mass in three separate venues before proceeding to the Commission on Elections provincial office in the City of San Fernando for Rep. Lazatin’s COC filing.

Meanwhile, former Angeles City mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said he is not running for the mayoralty post in the 2022 elections.

“I’m not running for mayor. My time to serve my people and the City of Angeles for the umpteenth time ended in 2019. I will continue serving the people of Angeles in a limited capacity,” said Pamintuan in a statement.

Pamintuan is currently the chairman of the state-run Clark Development Corporation.
