In a bid to bring quality healthcare closer to Filipinos in the safest way possible, a health and wellness mobile app organized a two-day virtual medical mission.
The nationwide medical mission, dubbed “National mWellness Day”, took place in the mWell app of Metro Pacific Health Tech Corporation on Sept. 4-5. It provided free consultations with primary care and specialized doctors.
“Nakakalungkot, subalit totoong may kakulangan sa healthcare para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan (It’s disheartening to note that there is a lack of quality healthcare needed by Filipinos),” said journalist and Project Malasakit founder Kara David, who hosted the event.
One of the medical mission volunteers, obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Melani Camarillo Espino recommends the app to her patients.
“Using mWell is just like making a private house call with my patients from the comforts of their homes. The flow of my virtual consultations are smooth, plus I gained more patients through the app.” said Dr. Espino.
The app’s 24/7 doctor on-call service lets users consult with a doctor anytime. The mWell app is available on App Store and Play Store.
