Viber, one of the world’s leading apps for free and easy communication, is taking our daily convos (and tea updates!) with family and friends, and colleagues up a notch by giving us more room for creative expression. It’s bringing more fun and color to our chats with the all-new Viber Lens.
Teaming up with Snap Inc., the tech company behind Snapchat, Viber is adding the magic of augmented reality (AR) to its in-app camera with the first batch of its Viber Lenses—30 attention-grabbing camera filters like animal masks, fantasy effects, Bitmoji avatars, and your favorite Viber characters. This definitely injects some playfulness to your chats with your family and friends.. How does it work? Just simply launch Viber’s camera within your chats and pick a filter. Take a snap or a clip and send away and get the fun times started. That’s how easy it is to use!
And it’s not ending there. True to its goal of giving users endless options when it comes to expressing themselves and having dynamic and authentic conversations, Viber is also planning to add at least 20 additional lenses each month to keep the fun going. Some Lenses also allow you to change colors or the stickers that appear on the screen to give the lens your own personal lewk. You can also tinker with branded lenses from partners like World Health Organization, World Wildlife Fund, and FC Barcelona to show your support for important issues or cheer for your fave sports team!
You can also experience more and more AR magic soon as Viber is working with brands like Globe and Filipino creatives like Leeroy New, Anina Rubio, and Jappy Agoncillo to create exclusive Viber Lenses for its users in the Philippines.
