Metro-wide truck ban still suspended

The truck ban policy will remain suspended while the National Capital Region is under the modified enhanced community quarantine status.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said it would not enforce the truck ban along major thoroughfares in Metro Manila to ensure unhampered movement of essential goods during the extension of the MECQ implementation from September 1 to 7, 2021.

The MMDA also stated that the suspension does not cover Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, from Magallanes Interchange in Makati City to North Avenue in Quezon City, where total truck ban is enforced.

Violators will be slapped with a P2,000 fine.
