Santa Rosa City, Laguna—A total of 600 employees from Laguna Technopark Inc. were vaccinated against the coronavirus during the ceremonial inoculation for essential workers on June 30 at Ayala Malls Solenad here.
The ceremony marked the start of the vaccination for priority group A4 in the Calabarzon region once the vaccines procured by the private sector and the allotment of the national government for this priority group arrive.
The A4 priority group includes workers in the government and private sectors as well as the informal sector.
Santa Rosa Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas said the city government plans to establish additional vaccination sites once the inoculation of the A4 priority group starts to ensure that more workers will be accommodated.
The City of Santa Rosa targets to vaccinated 3,000 individuals per day once there is a stable supply of vaccine coming from the national government, Arcillas said. The initial batch of AstraZeneca vaccines procured using the funds of the city government is expected to arrive on July 18, 2021.
Arcillas joined Presidential Spokesperson Harry L. Roque, National Task Force against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vivencio B. Dizon, Calabarzon Center for Health Development Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco, Interior Assistant Secretary Francisco R. Cruz, and Ayala Healthcare Holdings President Paolo Maximo F. Borromeo.
The vaccinated workers during the ceremony were from Ayala-owned companies, particularly Laguna Technopark Inc. and Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc.
