SaladStop! serves cauliflower salad
For a limited time only, SaladStop! is serving a hearty and healthy, and quite unique, cauliflower salad.
Like the sunny and vibrant California, Cauli-fornia Dreamin’ is made with a mix of romaine lettuce, red and white cabbage, cauliflower cheese patty, baked mushrooms, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, carrots, avocado, and peanuts, all tossed with a tangy lemongrass turmeric dressing.
Unique to this seasonal salad is the cauliflower cheese patty made with three types of cheese: parmesan, cheddar, and feta. The patty is oven-baked, made from scratch, and has no artificial flavors or colorings.
Cauli-fornia Dreamin’ is available at all SaladStop! branches in Metro Manila and Cebu in both wrap and salad variants for P365. It is served today until June 28.
Machang at Jasmine
In celebration of the annual Duanwu Festival (Dragon Boat Festival) happening this year on June 14, New World Makati Hotel’s Chinese restaurant Jasmine serves machang (also called zongzi) in two flavors.
Jasmine’s machang is available in traditional flavor made with pork, yellow bean, salted egg, mushroom, and glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaf; and red bean flavor made with glutinous rice and wrapped in lotus leaf. An option for single or double layered filling is available. Each order is packaged in dim sum basket-inspired boxes with gold foil logo stamping.
Machang is traditionally eaten during the Duanwu Festival (Doubler Fifth Festival) – Dragon Boat Festival in English – which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Families prepare them together on the eve of the festival and eat them for breakfast the next day.
Single and double layer machang are priced at P798 and P1,388 nett, respectively. Pick up of orders is until June 30. Deliveries may be made for bulk orders within a 3-kilometer distance. Call (02) 8811-6888 ext. 3679 or connect via www.tinyurl.com/NewWorldMKTViber for inquiries.
