Accenture pledges P240 million for COVID-related response

Business process outsourcing company Accenture pledge $5 million or P240 to urgently respond to COVID-related challenges in the Philippines.

It said the pledge is part of its continuing commitment to bring positive change in how communities and employees live and work in the country.

“We have made a $5-million or P240-million pledge to urgently respond to COVID-related challenges that we are facing,” said Accenture country managing director in the Philippines Lito Tayag.

The company said it would extend free vaccination to its employees and eligible dependents in the Philippines.  It also introduced a COVID home care program that aims to supplement medical monitoring, support and care for employees.

Accenture also provided a one-time work from home enablement reimbursement for employees below managing director for their home office and productivity enhancements.

Tayag said Accenture is committed to making a positive impact in the Philippines.

“This, alongside our initiatives to support our people in the Philippines—including the extension of our COVID-19 vaccination program to eligible dependents of our people as well as our COVID home care program and a one-time work from home enablement reimbursement—underscores our strong resolve and active commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of our people and fellow Filipinos during these challenging times,” he said.
