The Taguig City government on Monday reminded residents that walk-ins will not be entertained at vaccination sites.
The reminder came after a large group of people entered the vaccination hub at SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City last Sunday without the required registration form and a QR code resulting in the delay of the vaccination process.
“We want to apologize and assure our citizens that these matters are addressed immediately. By 2 p.m. yesterday, the operations were normalized and for most patients and we were able to hit our goal of 1 hour or less in the vaccination hub from step 1 to 5,” the city’s Public Information Office stated.
The local government reiterated that no walk-ins are allowed in any of its vaccination hubs and only those who have a schedule will be accommodated to ensure the safety of everyone and avoid any unfortunate circumstances.
City residents can register and secure their QR code via trace.taguig.gov.ph.
Mayor Lino Edgardo Cayetano said the city government is doing its utmost to accommodate every citizen by setting up kiosks for registration and door-to-door registration service.
Last week, the local government launched its COVID-19 Home Service Vaccination program to ensure that bedridden people who may also be senior citizens or have underlying medical conditions will have equal access to the vaccines and are inoculated safely.
