Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid and actor-musician Ian Veneracion are headlining a digital concert titled Virtually Yours, Kilabotitos. The show streams on ktx.ph tomorrow night at 8:00.
Originally scheduled in March 2020, the concert was postponed due to the pandemic. Now they are ready to perform together online as they take a trip down memory lane with songs that will touch your heart from the ‘60s to the ‘90s.
With two different singing styles and two different personalities, the show promises to present Ogie and Ian as one in music and humor. Virtually Yours, Kilabotitos will showcase their voices and wit.
“What’s good about this concert, you can share this show with your family members or friends. With one ticket, you can have as many as 10 people watching. There’s watching, there’s reminiscing, there’s Ian and I sharing our gwapo-ness and I’m hoping that people will embrace this kind of virtual experience,” Ogie told Manila Standard Entertainment in a virtual interview.
“Think of it as a musical sitcom, setting a trend for experiencing a live concert in the new normal. We will highlight the music of the ‘Tito’ era with hits from the ‘60s to the ‘90s from icons like the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Hall and Oates, and the Police, to name a few,” Ogie added.
The duo will also highlight their individual expertise in the keyboard and guitar. They added that nothing much has been changed in their original playlist.
“The concert was originally a two-night concert so we would like to give our audience the same kind of experience. We’re doing the concert in an actual performance venue unlike other digital shows,” Ian shared.
The concert will be available worldwide. Tickets are available at ktx.ph and priced at P1,200 (full concert plus a documentary on the making of the show).
