Capas, Tarlac—The Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit 3 has started its investigation of the alleged harassment and cyber bullying complaint filed by Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan against Pyra Lucas, former head of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption Pampanga Chapter.
This after BGen. Valeriano De Leon, regional director of the Central Luzon PNP, acknowledged Catacutan’s complaints and directed the RACU3 to organize a team that will properly conduct an independent investigation against Lucas, a social media personality.
In his letter to De Leon, Catacutan urged RACU3 to look into the social media post of Lucas and several other personalities whom he described as below the belt series of comments and tirades dishonoring and insulting him.
“I was informed that investigation against Facebook accounts of Lucas is underway,” said Catacutan during a press conference Monday. Jess Malabanan
He requested RACU3 for a forensic examination to block and delete the sposting and banning Lucas from social media.
“Lucas has exploited the use of social media by posting false, baseless and unfounded stories against me and my family,” said
Catacutan, adding that his lawyers had filed cyber liver complaints against Lucas, Froilan Apostol and Cesario Bautista Jr.
The case stemmed from the property dispute between Catcutan and some farmers cultivating government land within Camp O’Donnel, a military reservation area which was converted into a resettlement area way back after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo.
