The Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Team of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 once again commended the Caloocan City Government for its ongoing fight against COVID-19.
During the CODE TEAM’s visit to Caloocan this February 2, 2021, NTF Chief Implementer and COVID-19 Vaccine Czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. praised Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan for the comprehensive vaccination plan laid out by Task Force Caloocan City COVID-19 Vaccine.
Galvez thanked Mayor Oca as one of the mayors who signed the tripartite agreement with AstraZeneca for the advance order of 600,000 doses of its vaccine.
According to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, the city’s strategy of working with stakeholders such as the church to assist in manpower and information dissemination regarding vaccination is also commendable.
Mayor Oca expressed his gratitude to the National Government, NTF, IATF and to the agencies that accompany the City Government.
“Thank you very much for your support and assistance to the Caloocan City Government. I am grateful to our dear President Rodrigo Duterte for providing vaccines for the people of Caloocan,” said Malapitan.
“The Caloocan City Government is always open for your possible opinions and suggestions. I hope we will always be your partners in this fight,” the mayor added.
The City Government also received praise from the CODE TEAM during its first visit to the city last September regarding its mass testing and contact tracing programs.
