Manila starts free RT-PCR drive-thru tests

The City Government of Manila on Monday began offering free drive-thru RT-PCR COVID-19 swab testing at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila.

The swab testing service is made available for free to anyone, whether a Manila resident or not. Those who will avail of the test just need to set an appointment and arrive at the venue in a vehicle.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said appointments are necessary to ensure personal information of individuals getting tested will be secured.

No walk-ins are allowed. Only 100 individuals will be accommodated each day.

The testing center to be handled by the Manila Health Department (MHD) and the Manila Emergency Operating Center (MEOC) will be open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The city government also said no serology testing will be conducted at the drive-thru RT-PCR testing center at Quirino Grandstand.
