CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga—The Police Regional Office 3 is providing its own isolation facility exclusive for uniformed and non-uniformed personnel who will show symptoms of coronavirus illness.
BGen. Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon police director, said 45 pieces of forty-footer container vans would be modified and converted into a quarantine area in the event PRO3 personnel needed it.
“Hindi na mag aalala ang ating kapulisan sa Central Luzon na kung saan -saan sila dinadala para quarantine. Dito sa loob ng kampo they feel secured and safe,” said De Leon on the sideline of isolation facility blessings and inauguration Monday.
Initially, De Leon said four container vans have been readied and can accommodate two persons for each container. He said the container vans is fully air conditioned and has separator in between.
The Central Luzon PNP chief said 32 more container vans are being modified and would be set up in a vacant lot adjacent to the PRO3-Medical service.
A couple of months ago, more than fifty policemen detailed in different units in the region have been placed under strict quarantine after they were found positive of the virus during the RT-PCR test conducted in separate occasions.
The policemen were brought to New Clark City and Fontana Convention Center where they were isolated for two weeks before they are brought back to their mother units.
Meanwhile, National police chief Gen. Debold Sinas he instructed his men to coordinate with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and checked reports on the alleged sale of vaccines in the black market.
“We are closely in touch with the FDA and checking on it,” said Sinas adding his office has yet to receive reports on the sale of vaccines in the underground.
