Winnie Monsod delves into PhilHealth corruption issues

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation or PhilHealth is once again involved in allegations of corruption, this time involving P15-B worth of funds amid the pandemic. Some fear that the state-run agency could go bankrupt by 2022.

‘Newsmakers’ host Winnie Monsod

Today, economist and Newsmakers host Solita “Winnie” Monsod talks to one of the whistle-blowers, former Anti-Fraud Legal Officer Atty. Thorsson Montes Keith. Keith reveals how the cash advance payment scheme called the ‘Interim Reimbursement Mechanism’ (IRM) was used to unevenly advance payment to 771 hospitals since April.
