President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Court of Appeals Justice Priscilla Baltazar-Padilla as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
Padilla will take over the post vacated by Associate Justice Andres Reyes Jr. who retired on May 11.

A former Manila trial court judge, she bested other six nominees – Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez, CA Associate Justice Ricardo Rosario, Japar Dimaampo, Jhosep Lopez, Ramon Cruz and Manuel Barrios.
