Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—Governor Carlos Padilla recently gave a P2.5-million check to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to fund the construction of a multi-purpose covered court here.
Police Brigadier General Angelito Casimiro, PNP regional director for Cagayan Valley, received the funding assistance at the Police Provincial Office (PPO) in this town.
Casimiro, Padilla and Provincial Board Member Flodemonte Gerdan led policemen and other local officials during the groundbreaking program for the proposed PNP multi-purpose covered court.
“I am happy to give you your project. I believe and hope that this will inspire the PNP in upholding their mandate to serve Novo Vizcayanos,” Padilla said.
He also reminded Casimiro not to forget “his province” once he starts his new job in Camp Crame or the PNP national headquarters.
“Please do not forget us when you are in paradise,” Padilla jokingly told Casimiro, who hails from Bayombong town.
Padilla pledged the fund for the PNP multi-purpose covered court during the turnover of new armaments, facilities and equipment to the Nueva Vizcaya Police Office last month.
