170 Pinoy seafarers sent home for crew change

Another fresh batch of Filipino merchant mariners due for crew change were sent out via chartered flight Sunday, June 28, organized by Peter Döhle Schiffahrts- KG, principal of Döhle Seafront (Manila) Inc.

CREW CHANGE. Some 170 Filipino seafarers receive instructions from Döhle Seafront Crewing (Manila) Inc. prior to their redeployment via a chartered flight Sunday, June 28, at NAIA Terminal 1.

Lawyer Iris Baguilat, President of Döhle Seafront (Manila) Inc., said about 170 seafarers has left NAIA Terminal 1 7p.m.via Condor Air DE8587.

She said the airline has arrived Saturday, June 27 and brought home some of their crew, and once again shared the seats for free to other seafarers and overseas Filipino workers who wanted to be repatriated but stranded for months in some ports and places in Europe.

The airline has also brought home German Ambassador to PH Anke Reiffenstuel after availing one of the said free seats.
