The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has already ballooned to 1,832 in Quezon City as of May 18, 7 p.m.
In its official Viber account, the Quezon City government reported 110 new recoveries bringing the total to 576.

There were 14 new cases of death as of Monday with a total of 161 deaths.
The city government has placed certain areas in barangays Bahay Toro, Culiat, Sauyo, Batasan Hills and Tatalon under a 14-day special concern lockdown since May 13 due to the high number of COVID-19 cases.
