The Metro Manila Development Authority has built an isolation facility to accommodate its asymptomatic employees exposed to persons infected with coronavirus disease.
The newly-constructed isolation facility, with a lot area of approximately 800 square meters, is located at the agency’s headquarters in Makati City.
The facility has been divided into two sections: one for those with negative rapid test result and the other for those with positive result and/or awaiting PCR (throat swab) result.
“We have built our own Covid-19 isolation facility for asymptomatic MMDA personnel. This facility will serve as temporary holding area for our employees who need to undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine in accordance with the Department of Health’s protocols,” said MMDA chairman Danilo Lim.
Each section of the isolation facility has a 24-bed capacity equipped with shower rooms, comfort rooms and lavatories. The rooms are fully-air conditioned, with wi-fi connection and will be regularly cleaned and sanitized.
The agency’s Covid Committee, in coordination with the Medical Clinic and Administrative Services, will be managing the isolation facilities.
