Through the Kaisa sa Kasanayan at Kabuhayan program initiated by Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E), successful livelihood projects —mostly revolving around fishing and farming–have shored up family incomes for some 63,000 residents in this province of 42 barangays, despite a nationwide lockdown.

These include the Gulayan sa Bakuran sa Carinay (Shown in photo), managed by the Atimonan Coastal Food Production Association (ACFPA), and Villa Ibaba Handicrafts Association (VIHA).

“Thanks to A1E for helping us fight this pandemic by way of cooperative livelihood projects,” said ACFPA president Maritess Atienza.  “Hopefully these projects will help our community recover faster when the crisis ends.”
