Nasugbu, Batangas—Schoolchildren of the Looc Elementary School here were the recipients of 400 pairs of shoes and 100 sets of school supplies from SM Foundation, in line with SM Store’s “Share Shoes (Good for the Sole)” campaign.
Program partners were Bata Philippines and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) Philippines.
The schoolchildren were identified as one of those heavily affected by the Taal volcano eruption last January.
Last year, SM Foundation and the Manila Southcoast Development Corp. turned over a fully furnished two-storey, four-classroom building to Looc Elementary. It was SM Foundation’s 100th school building donated under its school building program.
The distribution of shoes and school supplies was a fun-filled occasion for the school children as ACPACI also organized a party for them.
