Ortigas-based hotel Discovery Suites celebrates its 20th anniversary with tasteful treats.
Steak is star
With the opening of 22 Prime as a venue for exclusive events, Discovery Suites offers two one-of-a-kind dining experiences: Savor Premium Steak Carvery, a buffet featuring the restaurant’s signature dishes and sides with the highly acclaimed USDA Prime Rib Carving Station; or experience distinct tastes with a seven-course degustation and wine pairing called Tasting Notes. Prices start at P2,500 nett.
Further, 22 Prime serves a special anniversary sharing platter that features a combination of 20 bestselling signature dishes and sides, handpicked by executive chef Gerwin Bailon. Highlight entrées include Grilled Mixed Seafood, Lamb Chops, Cajun Porkchops, and Signature Steak Platter.
The platter comes with complimentary Soup of the Day and Salted Caramel Cheesecake. It is good for 10 persons for P11,150 nett.
Discovery Suites offers a special “steak-cation” with in-room dining service of the Signature Steak Platter for P20,000 nett, available today until Nov. 15.
Top 20 treats
Restaurant 5 launches Top 20 Treats composed of signature dishes and pastries.
Part of the top 20 are signature dishes Fish Florentine, Slow Roast Beef Belly, Sisig Sotanghon, Grilled Tuna Belly, and Bangus Sisig. Signature pastries include Ube Pandesal, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Yema Cake, Red Velvet Pandesal, and Ube Cheesecake.
Restaurant 5 breakfast buffet is valued at P973 nett while Local Lunch Buffet is at P650 nett.
Signature cake
Discovery Suites hails Pastry Chef Alvin Lucero’s Salted Caramel Cheesecake as the official Anniversary Cake. Originally available solely at 22 Prime as a specialty dessert, this delectable showstopper is now a featured item at Restaurant 5’s buffet and offered as a complimentary cake with every Tasteful Celebrations booking.
Signature cocktail
Taking inspiration from the picturesque view of the setting sun, 22 Prime Lounge introduces its new signature cocktail called Sunset Sour. Fashioned after a traditional whisky sour, the Sunset Sour is resident sommelier Giolo Racelis’ take on the classic cocktail. He mixes fine whisky into a sweet and sour citrusy blend which creates the perfect balance of aroma, texture, and flavor.
An order of this signature cocktail costs P250.
