As the Year of the Pig ends, we celebrate the auspicious entry of the Year of the Metal Rat this coming Chinese Lunar New Year on January 25, 2020.
Contrary to popular belief, the change of year does not mean the same when it comes to your lucky charms, at least according to Manila Standard’s resident Feng Shui expert.
“Huwag kayo bili nang bili. Kapag hindi ninyo naman kailangan at kapag alam mo puwede pang gamitin at gusto pa gamitin, gamitin niyo pa rin,” said Master Willie Ang in an interview recently.
“Problema kase ang tao, every year palit nang palit ng lucky charms,” he added.
Manila Standard sought Master Ang for a second straight year and asked for his take on the Feng Shui industry. He shared some pretty revealing stuff, one thing you can expect from this frank Feng Shui expert.
Nonsense, hindi totoo ‘yun,” he said.
He said that some charm store owners may coax people to buy bracelets, figurines, and what not by saying that it’s a different year and a different zodiac sign. This gives these opportunist business people to say for a need to change all lucky charms to unsuspecting buyers.
“It’s just nonsense. Bakit?
Above it all, he says that this is the reason why some people lose faith in their profession because of some bad apples among their ranks. He says his goal is to show feng shui experts in a good light and be respected in their field.
Ang, a feng shui expert for two decades now, says that even though he wishes people to respect his chosen profession, it starts from the feng shui expert themselves to show that they are indeed worthy of respect.
