The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) signed an agreement with Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) to offer academic degree programs for its staff.
The agreement was signed by MMDA Chairman Don Artes, Assistant General Manager for Finance and Administration Maria Carolina Salgado, MLQU Executive Vice President Mary Antoinette Lucille Ortile, and Vice President for Academic Affairs John Joseph Fernandez at the MMDA Head Office in Pasig City.
Artes said the partnership between MMDA and MLQU provides a valuable opportunity for the agency’s staff to pursue professional development and career advancement.
Under the agreement, 15 MMDA personnel will be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Financial Management.
Meanwhile, another 15 employees will begin studies in the Bachelor of Science in Criminology program at the start of the Academic Year 2024-2025.
Five months ago, MMDA similarly partnered with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to offer in-house training for select agency staff through the institution’s Graduate School-Master in Applied Statistics program.
