FFCAP travels to Anhui, China to enhance ties

The Federation of Filipino Chinese Associations of the Philippines (FFCAP), led by president Cai Yong Ning, visited Anhui province on Oct. 16, 2024 to enhance economic and cultural ties between the Philippines and China.

The delegation attended a promotional symposium hosted by director Zhang Qi Ming of the Anhui Province Overseas Chinese Affairs Office at the Hefei City Administrative Service Center.

Chen Xiao Bo, director of the United Front Work Department of Anhui Province, welcomed the group and highlighted Hefei’s significance as a central city in China, rich in economic potential and cultural tourism resources.

He expressed hopes for strengthening cooperation between Anhui and the Philippines.

Vice director Wang Jing of the Anhui Bureau of Culture and Tourism introduced the ambitious “(Anhui) Wave the World” investment attraction strategy.

The initiative aims to leverage Anhui’s cultural and industrial strengths to attract foreign investments, promoting innovation and development in Hefei.

Cai conveyed the delegation’s admiration for Hefei’s advanced development and expressed eagerness to explore more cooperation opportunities between the Philippines and China.

The attendees enjoyed a traditional Huangmei Opera performance of “A Match Made in Heaven,” highlighting the region’s rich cultural heritage.

The visit marked a significant step in fostering deeper bilateral relations, with both parties optimistic about future collaborations.
