Bong Revilla announces season 3of ‘Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis’

Actor and politician Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has announced that Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis will return for a third season. The sitcom, which aired its second season on GMA in February this year, is a remake of a 1994 action drama film of the same title.

During a visit to Quezon City for the annual Dugong Alay, Pandugtong Buhay bloodletting project at Amoranto Arena on Wednesday, Revilla was welcomed by Mayor Joy Belmonte, who also wished him a “Happy Birthday.” Revilla, who turns 58 on Sept. 25, has supported the blood donation drive since his tenure as governor of Cavite.

“Of course, my wish for him is to continue serving the people, especially through programs that benefit grassroots communities like projects for teachers, students, and senior citizens. I also hope he will be successful in the laws and bills he champions in the Senate,” Mayor Belmonte said.

Revilla’s personal wish is for reconciliation among people with conflicts in showbiz and government.

“Sana wala nang away-away, magkaisa na lang tayo para sa bayan,” Revilla said with a smile before discussing the third season of Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis.

“It’s good that I’m able to walk straight now, I’m able to jog as well. My Achilles tendon is healing very well. Thank God I’m okay now, and I’m thankful to all the people who prayed for me because I can walk properly now,” he added.

Revilla, who reprises his role from the original series, will continue to star alongside Beauty Gonzalez, who has taken over the role previously played by Revilla’s wife, Lani Mercado. The new season, set to air in December, is expected to introduce fresh developments and ongoing drama.

Revilla mentioned that the third season will feature numerous surprises and a star-studded cast, similar to the previous seasons. He also provided an update on his movie project.

“I had to put the movie aside for now, but it will still happen. It will definitely be next year. Currently, I’m focusing on Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis because this one is a light comedy-action. The film I’m working on is hard action, so I had to park it for the time being,” Revilla disclosed.

In a lighter moment, a showbiz reporter asked if Sandro Muhlach could be part of the show, which also features his father, Nino Muhlach, as part of the cast.

“Why not? The case has already been filed in court, so let’s leave it to the court to decide. We should consider Sandro and the Muhlach family. The important thing is to avoid such incidents, and what’s important is maging happy na lang tayo lahat,” Revilla said.

Meanwhile, Senator Revilla’s bloodletting program is the 15th installment of the annual drive.

During the event at the Amoranto Sports Complex, Revilla thanked the participants, partners, and donors. The program, which began during his governorship in the late 1990s, has supported countless Filipinos in need of blood, including celebrities like Dolphy, Vina Morales, TJ Cruz, Ogie Diaz, Francis Magalona, Jennifer Lee, and Winnie Cordero, among others.

Support came from various groups, including the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces, and other socio-civic organizations. This year, Revilla partnered with the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center and Lung Center of the Philippines.
