In celebration of its 50th year, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has announced that it will re-release 50 films from past iterations of the festival.
Titled “Sinesigla sa Singkwenta,” selected cinemas across the country will screen these films, with tickets priced at PHP 50.
The 50 films to be screened include Insiang, Mano Po, Jose Rizal, Crying Ladies, Ang Panday (1980), Big Night, Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo, Langis at Tubig, Blue Moon, Ang Panday (2009), Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon, Walang Forever, The Moises Padilla Story, Moral, Himala, Captain Barbell (1986), Kung Mangarap Ka’t Magising, Ang Alamat ng Lawin, Ang Larawan, Shake, Rattle, and Roll II, Atsay, Mga Bilanggong Birhen, Kung Mawawala Ka Pa, Die Beautiful, Agila ng Maynila, Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga, May Minamahal, Sunday Beauty Queen, and Magic Temple.
Additional films to be screened include: Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2, Brutal, Markova, Miracle in Cell No. 7, Shake, Rattle, and Roll I, Darna (1991), Bad Bananas sa Puting Tabing, Karnal, Tanging Yaman, Firefly, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, Karma, One More Try, Imortal, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, Okay Ka Fairy Ko, Yamashita: The Tiger’s Treasure, Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad, Feng Shui II, and Rainbow’s Sunset.
The films will be screened in select cinemas nationwide from Sept. 25 to Oct. 15.
