President Marcos cites positive rating in latest SWS survey

President Ferdinand  Marcos  Jr. on Saturday acknowledged the positive results of a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

More than half of Filipinos are satisfied with the administration, giving it a “good” +40 net satisfaction rating in June, according to the latest SWS survey.

“While we are elated by this validation of our hard work, we view it more as a challenge to do even better,” Mr.  Marcos  said in a statement.

While favorable ratings are encouraging, the President noted that his administration remains focused on achieving the key goals that fulfill his promises to the Filipino people.

“We take the high road in our efforts, not merely to seek popularity, but to render genuine and effective service that improves our people’s lives, strengthens our nation, and secures our future,”  Mr. Marcos  said.

Malacañang clarified on Saturday meanwhile that the President celebrated his birthday at a Pasay hotel, hosted by old friends, amid reports of a private concert for the occasion.

“After a tiring day filled with official engagements, he attended a party thrown by his old friends at a hotel in Pasay, and to his surprise and appreciation, music was provided by Duran Duran,” the Presidential Communications Office said in a statement.

Pro-Duterte vlogger Sass Sassot claimed that President  Marcos  held a lavish celebration in a hotel in Pasay where British rock band Duran Duran was flown to the country to hold a private concert for the President’s birthday.

According to PCO, President  Marcos  spent his birthday much like any other day—dedicated to his official duties.

“He traveled hundreds of kilometers to grant farmers a condonation of their debts and gifted them with a new financing program that will boost farm yields and farmers’ incomes,” PCO explained.

“He ordered the payment of the bills incurred that day by qualified patients in third-level DOH hospitals,”  he added.

The President also opened Malacañang’s gates, where food booths welcomed visitors from across the country who came to greet him.

“President  Marcos  celebrated his birthday with his signature compassion for the needy and the sick, and his deep appreciation for the farmers who feed the nation,” the Palace said.
