CFBCI recognizess cholar graduates

The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) led by president Samuel Lee Uy celebrated the graduation of the club’s Pagharap sa Pangarap College Scholarship Program scholars at the 8th Floor Auditorium in Binondo, Manila on Aug. 18, 2024.

CFBCI officers, members, government officials, sponsors, scholars and the graduates’ families were present during the ceremony.

Uy urged the graduates to pursue their dreams with perseverance and embody the values of hope, love and kindness.

He expressed the organization’s belief that those qualities are the hallmarks of true greatness.

Jocelyn Johanna See, vice president of CFBCI and president/CEO of Landlite Philippines Corp. (LPC) highlighted the virtues of hard work, grit and compassion.

Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto extended his congratulations to the graduates.

Certificates were given to the 26 graduates, including nine cum laude, nine magna cum laude and one summa cum laude.

Sharina Joy Bautista, who graduated summa cum laude with a degree in BS Human Resource Management from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, received a brand-new laptop and cash incentives totaling P50,000.

To show their gratitude to CFBCI, the graduates prepared a tribute video and presented crafted tokens of appreciation to the CFBCI officers.

Director William Rogando delivered the closing speech, emphasized the transformative power of education and told the graduates to contribute positively to their communities. He also announced a special trip for the graduates to his hometown in Bicol, as a token of celebration and further enrichment.
