THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), is to expediting the repair of potholes and damaged roads in Metro Manila that were caused by the recent floods.
MMDA chairman Romando Artes thanked the DPWH for promptly attending to the job needed in various areas in the metropolis.
The recent heavy rains caused potholes on major roads such as Epifanio de los Santos Ave.,, Circumferential Road – 5 (C-5 Road), Roosevelt, Kalayaan Ave., Shaw Blvd.,, Commonwealth Ave., and Ramon Magsaysay Blvd.
The asphalt patching activities are part of DPWH’s maintenance operations aimed at preventing road accidents caused by potholes. The department’s maintenance crew is working to restore the damaged roads.
Since September 6, the agency has been deploying maintenance crews to repair roads damaged by monsoon rains and storm ‘Enteng.’ J–
