A 34-year-old wife died while her husband was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed by a hired driver.
A deep stab wound to the neck ended the life of the victim, Czarri Marie Cantuba, while her husband, Marlon Cantuba, 35 years old, of Sitio 1 Gulap, Candaba, Pampanga, is now in the hospital.
The suspect, who was identified as a certain “Jomar,” 43 years old, a resident of MH Del Pilar St., Malate, Manila, fled with the couple’s car and P2 million in cash.
According to a police report, the couple traveled to Cavite from Pampanga around 4am on a business trip.
Authorities said while driving along Governors Drive, Brgy. Sabang, Naic, Cavite, the suspect suddenly stopped and pulled the vehicle aside. The suspect then stabbed the victims and forcibly took the cash.
