The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) Academic Film Society (AFS) is set to host the first Film Education Convention (FilmEC) for film creatives.
Aiming to gather film professionals and enthusiasts, the two-day event will feature plenary talks, panel discussions, film screenings, a masterclass with industry professionals, film equipment demos, and a post-production workshop for experienced and beginner filmmakers.
The FilmEC will be held on Sept. 17 to 18 at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Design and Arts Campus in Manila. Further details about the event will be announced on FDCP’s official social media pages.
The convention is part of FDCP’s celebration of the 4th Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM), themed “Tuloy ang Tradisyon ng Pelikulang Pilipino.” In addition to FilmEC, the council will also host special film screenings, workshops, talks, and other activities throughout September.
