Actress Kim Domingo has been turning heads with her memorable debut in the hit action-drama series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo as the femme fatale Madonna. With the warm support of viewers and fans for her new role, Domingo took the time to share how she landed the part.
In an interview with Luis Manzano for his YouTube series Luis Listens, the sultry actress explained that her journey to the role began at an event.
“I didn’t know that the people there were all from ABS-CBN,” she admitted.
While mingling at the event, someone suggested she would be perfect for a character in Batang Quiapo and asked if she would be interested in working on the show if the opportunity arose. Domingo eagerly agreed, expressing her desire to be part of the hit series.
About a week later, Domingo received a call asking if she was still interested in the role. After accepting the offer, she underwent intense training involving guns, knives, and hand-to-hand combat.
Despite the demanding nature of the role, Domingo expressed her enthusiasm, noting that it allowed her to showcase a different side of herself beyond her usual sexy roles in shows and films.
As she continues to thrive in her acting career, Domingo revealed that one of her dream roles would be a character similar to Amy Dunne from the mystery film Gone Girl, played by Rosamund Pike.
