Philippines’ most trusted news source

GMA Integrated News’ flagship newscast, 24 Oras, has maintained its status as the most trusted source of news in the Philippines, according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement data. 

From January to July 2024, 24 Oras achieved a combined people rating of 13.6 percent across GMA, GTV, and Pinoy Hits, leading its primetime competitors by a significant margin.

In comparison, Frontline Pilipinas on TV5, RPTV, and One PH recorded a combined rating of 3.9 percent, while TV Patrol on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Teleradyo Serbisyo, and ALLTV received 3.1 percent.

In Urban Philippines, 24 Oras further solidified its lead with a combined rating of 14.4 percent. Frontline Pilipinas had a rating of 3.7 percent, and TV Patrol scored 3.0 percent.

Celebrating its 20th year on television, 24 Oras is anchored by Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales, and Emil Sumangil. The program features segments hosted by Iya Villania-Arellano (“Chika Minute”), Kuya Kim Atienza (“#KuyaKimAnoNa”), and Martin Javier (“Game Changer”), delivering news and features from across the Philippines and around the world.

In July 2024, 24 Oras achieved its highest rating of the year with a combined people rating of 18.6 percent in Urban Philippines during coverage of Super Typhoon Carina and the habagat (Southwest Monsoon). On GMA alone, it recorded its highest rating of 14.9 percent in Urban Philippines.

24 Oras was also the top TV program nationwide for all of 2023. The program airs weeknights at 6:30 p.m. on GMA, with simulcasts on GTV and Pinoy Hits.
