THE Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers, Inc. (AFAD) is set to host the first part of its 30th Defense and Sporting Arms Show this Wednesday, August 21, at the SMX Convention Center. The five-day event will showcase a wide array of world-class imported and locally made sporting firearms and shooting products, all designed with innovation and safety in mind.
Newly elected AFAD president Edwin Lim expressed excitement about the upcoming show, stating that over 40 members and exhibitors have confirmed their participation. “AFAD is committed to promote safe and responsible gun ownership,” said Lim. “We are united in this mission and look forward to a successful event.”
Lim, who also heads the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA), highlighted the importance of collaboration among industry stakeholders. He believes that AFAD can continue to be a significant contributor to the Philippine economy with the support of its members.
The arms show will feature seminars on firearm safety, legal gun acquisition, and necessary permits.
In partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), a one-stop shop for firearm license application and renewal will be available on-site.
