Carmona–GS Señor S1 of Barry Crisostomo and Michael Sablan claimed the solo championship of the recent Manila Cockers Club 10-Stag Breeders Festival Mega Derby at the world-class Cockers Arena in Carmona, Cavite.
The winning team scored a total of 9.5 points during the finals, besting KAI JOEPEN of Jun Sosa/Noel de Ocampo; Red/Blue A of Biboy Sison; and VIVA PEÑAFRANCIA/JLR/CVC Joel & Carlo of Marites Zerrudo, who scored 9 points each. They went head to head with some of the toughest breeders in the competition, which included Wene Romano Jr., Santi Solis/Ruel Lizarda and Percy Burgos/Anatalio Balbieran, among others.
Over P9.7 million in breeders assistance fund was awarded to the participating breeders with the champion receiving a whopping P4 million (BAF).
The excitement continues in 2020 as MCC announces its coming derby season, namely the MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 1 on Jan. 15 to 23; MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 2 on Jan. 27 to Feb. 4; MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 3 on Feb. 8 to 16; MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 4 on Feb. 21 to 29; MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 5 on March 9 to 11; MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 6 on March 14 to 22; and MCC 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 7 on March 26 to April 3.
Another 10-Cock Mega Derby is scheduled from April 14 to 28.
