The visit will mark the fiftieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Mongolia.

“Secretary Manalo and Minister Battsetseg will convene the fourth Philippines-Mongolia Policy Consultations to take stock of bilateral relations, and explore further avenues of cooperation between the two countries,” DFA announced.

Manalo will then visit South Korea from August 6-9 to meet with his South Korean counterpart, Cho Tae-yul.

The officials will hold bilateral meetings to discuss “areas of mutual concern such as political, defense, security, economic and development cooperation, as well as people-to-people ties.”

“They are also expected to exchange views on regional cooperation and international issues, and discuss the elevation of the bilateral relations between the two countries.”
