CALOOCAN City aims to become one of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Integration Sites after City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).
The agreement was meant to strengthen the implementation of PhilHealth coverage in the city and assist the public in the registration and maintenance of the PhilHealth members for free access to quality health and medical services offered by both the city government and partner hospitals.
Malapitan thanked the DOH and PhilHealth for their continued partnership with the city as he noted that the program was in line with his advocacy prioritizing the health of his constituents.
“Through this MOU, we can deliver greater healthcare coverage for the people, notably the youth,” Malapitan said in Filipino.
