Maki’s latest single “Dilaw” is making waves in the music industry, dominating charts and streaming platforms. The track has propelled Maki to become the male OPM artist with the most monthly listeners on Spotify, boasting 6.5 million listeners.
“Dilaw” has achieved significant milestones, topping the Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 and Billboard Top Philippines Songs charts for two consecutive weeks on July 6 and 13. The single has set new records as the OPM song with the biggest single-day streams on Spotify and is the third OPM track to enter the Spotify Global chart.
The self-love anthem has also gained international recognition, appearing on the Spotify Viral charts in Saudi Arabia, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.
On iTunes Philippines, “Dilaw” claimed the top spot, making it the fifth best-selling OPM track on the platform, and has garnered over 10 million views on YouTube.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Maki expressed his disbelief and gratitude: “Hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala at parang pa rin akong nananaginip. I’m really grateful especially sa mga tao na nakasama na nag-work behind this song. This is just passion for music and I was not expecting anything na ganitong kalaking achievement.”
Maki’s success extends beyond “Dilaw,” with his previous single “Saan?” continuing to resonate with audiences, amassing over 90 million streams on Spotify. His other tracks, “Kailan?” and “Sikulo,” also consistently chart. The Tarsier Records artist recently peaked at number 5 on Spotify Philippines’ Daily Top Artists.
