The Global Youth Summit (GYS), organized annually by SM Cares and the Global Peace Foundation (GPF), recently wrapped up its South Luzon leg, held from June 8 to June 22 across various SM Malls in Southern Luzon.
The GYS aims to inspire youth leaders to become catalysts for change by providing a platform to voice their ideas and create sustainable solutions to pressing challenges.
With the successful conclusion of the South Luzon events, SM Cares and GPF are now preparing for the Mindanao leg of GYS. Mindanaoan youth leaders eager to address local issues can join the upcoming GYS events at the following venues: SM City General Santos on July 9; and SM Lanang Premier on July 11.

The GYS is part of SM Cares’ broader Programs on Children and Youth, supporting all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Other initiatives include collaborations with UNICEF and the Book Nook, a community hub offering free libraries, workshops, and activities for parents and children.
In addition to its youth programs, SM Cares also focuses on the environment, women and breastfeeding mothers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
