ABS-CBN Music artists dominated the launch of Billboard Philippines’ music charts with Maki and BINI securing top spots.
Maki’s hit song “Dilaw,” released under Tarsier Records (an ABS-CBN Music label), claimed the number one position on the Hot 100 chart for the week of July 6. The singer-songwriter expressed his joy on social media, celebrating OPM’s (Original Pilipino Music) strong showing.
“Dilaw” also landed the top spot on the Top Philippine Songs chart, while his previous hit “Saan?” reached number 16.
The girl group BINI made its presence felt across the charts as well. The P-pop sensation’s song “Salamin, Salamin” debuted at number 2 on the Hot 100, followed by “Pantropiko” at number 4, “Karera” at number 7, and “Lagi” at number 9.
Several of BINI’s other songs, including “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” “Na Na Na,” and “I Feel Good” (all under Star Music), also made the charts.
BINI’s success continued on the Top Philippine Songs chart, where the group occupied five spots in the Top 10. “Salamin, Salamin” came in second, followed by “Pantropiko” at number 3, “Karera” at number 4, “Lagi” at number 5, and “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi” at number 10.
Billboard Philippines describes the Hot 100 as a ranking of the biggest songs in the country based on streaming data and sales, while the Top Philippine Songs chart highlights the most popular local artists and tracks.
