Hisense is the Official Screen Provider for Video-Assisted Referee (VAR) for UEFA EURO 2024. The company will supply advanced screen solutions for the central VAR Room in Leipzig, Germany, marking the first time UEFA has granted exclusive rights to one of its sponsors. VAR technology uses video footage and a team of referees to aid on-field referees in making more accurate and fair decisions during key moments of football matches. For UEFA EURO 2024™, semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) will also be integrated to facilitate quicker in-match decisions. Hisense will supply the screens for the VAR referees, who will be based at the International Broadcasting Center in Leipzig.
Additionally, Hisense has secured rights for branding and design on all pitch-side referee review screens, ensuring its brand visibility during VAR reviews. This partnership underscores Hisense’s technological prowess, demonstrated by its strong global TV shipment rankings and notable market growth in Europe
In celebration of the Eurocup 2024, Hisense Philippines is holding a nationwide “Be EURO CUP CHAMPIONS Grand Promo” (DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-193183 Series of 2024). From May 15, 2024, to July 15, 2024, every single receipt purchase of a Hisense air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine and Toshiba TV at participating dealers nationwide is qualified for a Grand Draw on July 23.
Prizes at stake are: a Hisense window type air conditioner, a side by side refrigerator and a Toshiba 75-inch QLED 4K Smart Google TV.
