NINE Chinese nationals were arrested by Immigration agents while disembarking from three motorboats near a shoreline fishport in Parañaque City for alleged violation of the conditions of their stay.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the Chinese men were arrested by agents of the BI’s intelligence division, in coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
According to BI intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr., they conducted months of surveillance and intelligence gathering after receiving reports of Chinese nationals boarding and disembarking vessels along Manila Bay.
Four of the individuals were found to possess passports and hold 9G visas petitioned by an engineering company in the Philippines, while the remaining five were found to be undocumented.
