The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 4.6 earthquake in Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, Monday morning.
Based on its updated Earthquake Information bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor struck at 6:53 a.m. with its epicenter traced about 18 kilometers (km) southwest of the town at a depth of 10 km.

It was felt at level four intensity in Rizal while low instrumental intensity was noted in Mamburao and Magsaysay.
“No damage was monitored and no aftershocks were expected,” Phivolcs said.
Last week, a stronger magnitude 4.8 quake jolted Paluan, also in Occidental Mindoro.
